Exotic Zoo Brings Wild Learning to Schulze Academy

On April 10th, Schulze Academy was transformed into an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience as The Exotic Zoo, led by Javon Stacks, brought the “zoo” right to our school! Instead of taking a field trip, students got to enjoy an exciting animal encounter right in their own building—no buses, no long walks, just amazing animals up close and personal.

Students were amazed as they saw a kangaroo, a flying owl that soared right over their heads, a lynx, a giant snake, and even prehensile-tailed porcupines. The energy in the room was high as students listened, learned, and even got the chance to participate. Students who answered questions correctly were invited up to take pictures, while staff members even had the chance to pet some of the animals. It was an experience full of excitement, curiosity, and unforgettable moments.

Beyond the fun, students also learned important lessons about endangered animals, extinction, rainforest destruction, pollution, and how we can all help protect our planet. The Exotic Zoo program connects directly to what students are learning in school, making it both fun and educational. At Schulze Academy, we love bringing learning to life, and this wild experience is one students will be talking about for a long time!
