United We Stand, Divided We Fall
Our school is proud to celebrate our 7th/8th grade boys basketball team for an unforgettable season as the DPSCD District Champions! Under the leadership of coaches Deandre Larkins, Kyri Hayes, Nick Coleman, and Randy Royal, the team completed an undefeated season, showing determination, teamwork, and heart every step of the way.
This championship run was especially meaningful because every player on the team is an 8th grader. Many of these young men have been playing basketball together since kindergarten, building not only their skills on the court, but lifelong friendships and brotherhood along the way. Their chemistry, trust, and dedication to one another were on full display throughout the season.
The team represented our school with pride, sportsmanship, and excellence, making their families, teachers, classmates, and community proud. Their hard work and commitment paid off with a championship title that will always be remembered.
As these students prepare to leave middle school and begin a new chapter in high school, they leave behind a legacy of teamwork, perseverance, and success.
