Soaring Through the Airwaves: Schulze Launches Student Podcast Program

Schulze Scholars Take Flight with New Broadcasting Journalism Program

Schulze Community School is proud to celebrate the successful launch of its new Broadcasting Journalism Program. In just four short weeks, our student journalists have already created a school-wide Public Service Announcement (PSA) and produced two original podcast episodes. Scholars work collaboratively to write, direct, produce, record, and conduct interviews, gaining valuable experience in communication, teamwork, leadership, and creativity.

One team launched The STARS Podcast, hosted by Lauren and Tay'Niah. Team members Lanila, Kyle, Alana, Tay'Niah, and Lauren interviewed 2nd-grade teacher Mrs. Sterling, demonstrating professionalism and confidence as they prepared questions and led the conversation. Another team launched Soaring with the Eagles, featuring Janiah, Gemari, Karina, Desiree, and Madison, who interviewed 6th-grade science teacher Mrs. Larsen and showcased their growing journalism and interviewing skills.

The enthusiasm and dedication shown by our scholars have been remarkable. Accomplishing so much in only four weeks is an impressive achievement and highlights the potential of this exciting new program. We look forward to seeing our student journalists continue to grow, share their voices, and create even more engaging content for the Schulze community in the coming school year.
