From Classroom to Competition: Mekhi Wallace Excels in Aerial Drone Challenge

5th Grade Scholar Mekhi Wallace Soars at Drone Competition in Texas

Schulze Community School is proud to recognize 4th grade student Mekhi Wallace for his outstanding participation in a recent drone competition held in Texas. Mekhi was selected to attend a Drones Apprenticeship Program sponsored by Neighborhood Legal Services and the 100 Black Men of Austin, where students were given hands-on experience in aviation technology, coding, and drone operations.

During the competition, Mekhi demonstrated focus, skill, and determination as he competed against other talented student pilots from across the region in the aerial drone challenge. His hard work paid off as he earned an impressive 6th place finish in the aerial drones competition, showcasing both his technical ability and competitive spirit.

Mekhi’s opportunity was made possible through the support of Mr. Darryl Bingham, who sponsored his participation in the program and encouraged him throughout the experience. Schulze celebrates Mekhi’s achievement and his commitment to learning beyond the classroom.

We are proud of Mekhi Wallace for representing Schulze with excellence and look forward to seeing how he continues to grow in STEM opportunities and future competitions.
